It's going to be fun to see. Hopefully one of my 3 decent (for a 2nd team) forwards can step up at home and get a goal past them. The mid-season transfer market could be interesting as well. I'm saving up for TC10 and YC9 so I don't know how much I want to invest in players, but it's balanced by a desire to want to be promoted before too long.

I'm the opposite - not bothered about being promoted... watching two teams in the English league that have been in the lower leagues for ages. The first has never bought a player and only ever loaned 1 in. The other is consistently training his youngsters and selling them replacing with (better) younger ones. The first will soon have the facilities too compete with top teams and have all homegrown talent. The second has a team which, once he stops selling them, they will go through to division one and compete.

I'll be mixing the two strategies( although I get giddy and buy players when the windows open)

My first team in the US league the Colonials took the second approach and now I've gone from League 4 to League 1 as a late starter. That was rewarding for me. I love working transfer market and always building facilities. Taking same approach here and seeing how I do in a year or so real time versus other managers who started at the same time with the second team. Not in a hurry to be promoted but I hate playing bots.

Thanks Cloughie. Still early in the season with transfer window approaching so many teams are still alive. That said, I am happy with my start as well the 6.4 super talent Mercado I just pulled from my YC8!

Me neither! My 6.45 ST here in my 2nd team from YC8 was better than the YC9 first team ST which was better than the YC10 first team ST. Totally backwards but it should even out.
