5-3-2 is, unfortunately, important. I've tried other formations, but 5-3-2 and variations of it, seem to work best, as Deca says. However, you need to have the players to make it work. Without 5 strong defenders and a strong DM, then it's not a magic bullet. Even with those things, you'll still lose games and drop points. But, keep building your side and your facilities and you can get promoted. Cloughie is thriving up there now and he was stuck in the playoffs in this league for ages.
