After a 8th place previous year Alphen City is looking up. Our goals are simple; Alphen City wants to reacht the quarter finals of the cup and finish in the top 8 so we will be able to play European football next year.

We started the season good with a win and a unfortunate draw. Tonight is the third game against the Keys. The supporters and players are looking forward to receive this big opponent at home. They will give everything tonight just to keep the three points in Alphen.

Another goal is to develop our youth centrum so we can get youth players in the firt team. At the moment we have some good and talented players in our U21 squad. They are performing well in the U21 with a win, a draw and one lost game. They will play at Cambuur tonight.

After both matches i will give a summary and my opninion about the two games.

(If you have some tips and tricks on how to make a good journal you can always tell them to me)

Cambuur has the best journals of our league in my opinion. And those of Invincible Delft are pretty fine too. :) Read them and get inspired.

With a full stadium and a very good atmosphere the match against The Keys started. The players from Alphen City were warned to play careful and dont get to sloppy.

It seemed that the players didnt listen that good to the coach because in the 5th minute Joris Uijtrecht already scored the 0-1. After this early goal it became even a harder task to keep the point in Alphen.

Alphen fought themselves back in to the game and they were rewarded by a goal of Stephen Kraakman in the 18th minute. The fans, players and staff were celebrating. One thing we knew for sure. It was going to be an exciting match.

Unfortunately Alphen City lost a lot of possesion after the goal and The Keys scored again in the 24th minute Waelkens scored the goal and Anand gave already his second assist. The players from Alphen City were standing for an impossible objective. The Keys played very well and it seemed that Alphen didnt had an answer to it.

During the half time team talk the coach of Alphen City was telling his players to give it their best. They only needed one goal to tie the match.

When the second half started and The Keys took the kick off it was an instant goal. Again Anand with the assist and Waelkens with the goal. With two goal difference The Keys now had the game in hands.

With still 45 minutes on the clock Alphen City tried there best. but they didnt succeed. Lost Keys United was definetly the better team this match and thanks to Anand who played a great game the 1-3 defeat seemed fair. Alphen City lost to many duels, however the passing was great the shots werent. from 8 shots I expect more then 1 goal.

Our next stop is FC Delft at home for a Cup match. Alphen City hopes they can get a morale boost here by winning this game.

Yesterday evening was the match against Valderend FC. In the preparation towards the match many things were said about the match. The papers were not really talking about who would win but with how much goals Alphen City would win. The manager warned his players for under estimating of their opponents. The manager decided to start with the best team to gain some morale for the next match

When the game finally started one thing became very clear. Alphen City was playing very bad, Valderend FC was the better team that should not be a problem because you have 90 minutes to get back in your game. But after ten minutes it went from bad to worse. Valderend FC scored a goal. After a corner from Capodistria Simon de Zoete scored with an beautiful volley. Right after this moment the manager from Alphen City stormed out off is dug-out. He was screaming and shouting at the players to concentrate and focus.

But after 22 minutes of play Capodistria again sent a wonderful pass but this time to Navas. Navas controlled the ball and so he stranded one on one with the goalkeeper. His shot a goal gave the keeper no chance and so it was already 0-2. Some players already knew what kind of match this would be. This was one of those matches everything goes wrong and winning is impossible.

Until half time Valderend FC was the better team and Alphen City had to be happy that it was only 0-2 at half time.

In the second half Alphen City gained back some possession and they were playing slightly better. But is was already too late. Valderend FC was defending good and Alphen could not create any good chances. The time was ticking away and after half an hour in the second half Alphen still didn't create god chances. So with just fifteen minutes left they had to score at least two goals against a team who played much better then Alphen City.

And finally in the 90th minute the ref ended the game. It was horrible to watch a lot of supporters left before the game ended. It was probably the worst game that Alphen City played this season so far but Valderend FC deserved the win.

Tonight there will be again an important match on the program. Alphen City is going to visit a title contender, Cambuur will be the next opponent. Is Alphen City strong enough to get a result out of Cambuur? Everybody hopes but is expecting the worst.

After two loses in a row Alphen city had to visit Cambuur. Cambuur who are contenders for the titels. From the beginning the fans from Alphen who travelled to Cambuur knew it would be a difficult match. The trainer from Alphen City said earlier on press conference that Cambuur was the favorite and Alphen the underdog.

After the match started Cambuur was the better team. In the 10th minute there was already a goal Kamerling finished very good pass from Frechette. 1-0

Alphen had some chances but Cambuur was more effective with their chance. But unfortunately for Alphen Cambuur scored again. Nobel scored Cambuur's second goal of the game in the 33rd minute.

Cambuur started the second half stronger then Alphen. Both teams had some chances and it appeared that it was an open game. With some luck Alphen gained a penalty in the 68th minute and Kraakman scored it.

After the goal Cambuur was still the stronger of the two teams. The supporters of Alphen were hoping on a tie but it didnt seemed that Alphen would score again. After 90 minutes Cambuur deserved the win.
