League of India season 28
Forum: League forum
Discuss your league, who are the favorites to win the league this season? Who will be promoted/relegated, how are you doing in the cup?
Season 64 (27)
New season, new aims!
This season i fear i will need to say goodbye to two icons named Cortes and Jardine. At the end they are allowed to go. The replacement will be ready than. Finally i can unfold my plan to start training YA15 players and see how far i can get with that.
Aim is to get through the group stage in the asian league. Win all national cups and titles and stay financially healthy (not easy!!!). On the bright side, i discovered that players between 22 and 23 can be rented away for some good cash, so ill try to use that more in the future.
From what I have seen through my loan searches, there is a pretty good market for 20-23 year olds tranined in TA3+. They seem to go for more than their annual salaries after a few rounds as long as they were put in the market @ less than their annual salaries. Good luck Eckhart!
I have a question ,how to know when to retire player and when replacement is ready ??
Thanks Viktor
@Dwapar: Players start to lose skills slowly from age 21.20. In the first years it goes slowly and you can improve the player with skill. but at a certain point the decrease is higher than the increase. it depends on talent and training academy level.
There are two main strategies to play the game: Or you avoid the transfermarket and work with own youth players or you neglect the youth's and just focus on the transfermarket.
If you use the latter, than the retirement rules are quite easy, you determine themself whenever a player loses too much skill. Just simply by a new one.
The first tactic is more challenging because its a long term plan and you need to think ahead in when you want to launch your own youths.
I am also still searching for the right moment to retire players and get my youngsters ready to fill in. At first i though it was 7 season's between the main player and the youth but ill think I will bring it back to 6 seasons. At age 24 i cant lend my player anymore. So if my old player is 30, i can dump him and let the youngster come into the game.
Anyway, thats my theory
I am also developing youth players and then promote to senior team .I am not spending money to buy players. As of now I look at the 29 or 30 year old player skills and then recently promoted U21 players ,if their main skill difference is less than 1.5 or 1 then I sell 30 year old player or make him staff.
Hello guys,
The only goal for me this season is to stay in 1st and to increase one or more stadium levels. Quite unhappy with the defeat against dwapar, but my goalie is not that great and my defenders are mostly all right backs lol.
I also decided to make this my one and only account and team, so I quitted my precious Vianden. The competition is boring there, with no real managers who like to communicate. That's different here. Also: I had issues buying VIP-vouchers previous time and I don't want to spend money aymore to this game :-)
@dwapar
Just to add with what Eckhart said,if you have upgraded your YA then you will notice that when your recent pulls will become 23 yo,then there will be not much difference between your 23yos and 29yos...So,you can start replacing your 29yos with your 23yos...Or even your 28yos...
@Bartje
I also think there is no use of spending money in this game as it has been stopped improving by the devs a long time ago...
Better put your cash elsewhere...
I have one question more ,do i have to sit my U21 player when he become 22 year old so that he will play next year replacing 28-29 oldies ?
If I understood it correctly, you don't have to sit a 22yo. I continue playing u21 matches using the three over 21 dispensation spots or main team matches even if he turned 22 before the season started. Usually I try to get my future replacements as many matches as I can ( friendly , u21 cup etc) even if it's only 1 minute in every match after he has played his 20 league matches
Yepp with Dispensation players you can let them play in the youth team.
@ Viktor: its actually bad if they only play 1 minute because they get only 1/45'th of the experience. Normally players get full experience if they play half a match.
Btw, suprisingly good results in the asian continental cup. We have to fight all stronger treams and manage to get 2 victories, 1 draw and a loss. Lets hope we can get some more results in the returns.
Oh also interesting to know for all of you guys: The reward of winning the cup gives a playoff ticket for the asian league. If the winner has CL tickets, the playoff ticket goes to spot 3 in the competition.
So good luck to everyone!
Good Luck
From what I remember, playing even one minute gives position experience. Of course I was suggesting doing that after playing a regular player for 20 matches. Fast learner and Hardworking players need to be played fewer and more matches respectively. And about 67 points of position experience = 0.05 balls of Value.
Maybe that has changed (unless it never worked that way lol)
@Bartje_vM welcome to the bottom third of the league - my team is a permanent resident there lol.
In all seriousness, happy to see you back in the League. On a related note, it looks like we have "somewhat active" human managers in League(2). If they get up here, we might have a full human managed league after a long time.
Bastiaan de Jong at the FC Farīdābād #2 - Air FC (2-3) post-match conference announced his retirement citing COVID-19 bubble fatigue as the rprimary rason. Bastiaan was discovered and spent his formative years in suibianda known for the stadium near the beautiful Waterkant in the Surinamese capital. At 25, he was traded to Air FC where his point perfect passing fit perfectly into the low-defensive line counter-attacking style which called for an efficient offense. For Air FC he had 63 assists to go with his 11 goals in 129 league matches - he was involved in a whopping 45% of the goals scored by Air FC. The BlueHaways as the Air FC fans call themselvess aid a tearful good bye to a beloved icon.
Air Fc announced that they thank Bastiaan for his services and they would like to have as a part of the back-office. When pressed for specifics the GM Viktor said, "We plan to work out the specifics of his role once he has spent some time with his family and has had time to think about his options."
The weekend was not kind to Indian teams.
My initial analysis made me think our NT would get a draw against Namibia but "if lineups helped decide matches, we would not need to play". The injury to Kaushal meant Nallamuthu played out of position the whole time. It's times like these where I hope that in case of injury the engine puts the substitute in a position that the manager / match engine decided was best for him rather than just forcing the player to play in the injured player's position. But I digress
It looks like the only representative from our league had a slightly slow start to the Asian League. It is likely that it was mostly because of the home-advantage. With good results in the remaining matches FC Ulhasnagar can still make it to the knockout stages. Good luck Eckhart !
Well no luck in the first round in the asian competition. Against the weakest team today, our team showed that they actually can manage to make some goals. So 8-0 is the logical result. Now onwards to a important double confrontation to determine if i can go to the next round or not. Losing twice is game over.
In other news: We reached 20 stars avarage for the team! a huge achievement for the team.
