nice player from 9lvl YC. i suggesting to think about GK or def position for him since he is not that young, and had no specials suited for mids or strikers

If you want to make him a striker, make him a striker, though. It's your call in the end.

6.5 talent is nice , keep in mind that gk can play 8- 10 more seasons then strikers. and extra talent is very important. strikers should be younger and more suited in that position ( determined, selfish )

other managers with great training facilities may be interested to buy him and train as GK .

i suggest position trainings - few def( to save some xp and time (4times ) , last ones gk(3 times) .. all xp in blocking.. + setting walls , penalty stopper  and mbe corner stopper.

then enjoy your nice gk, or sell him

Why are you saving xp with position trainings defender for a goalkeeper? I don't understand?

Compare the training costs for converting the trainable skills back into xp. 

Defender: 300 XP, credits: 5

Keeper: 800 XP, credits: 7

The Keeper training also takes about 5 times longer. For a young player I wouldn't even bother with the GK training as he'll get that from playing matches.

not only xp, but time.. you can use few last 2-1 trainings for GK position . and mbe there is better options for your player.
