Pretty awful for a YC8. 
suggesting - when ST arrives , manager can choose to offer nice contract for player, or pick bonus $$ instead of player. amount depends on YA lvl ..

not to bad for 8lvl . but at moment , there is no point to work on players like him ( giving specials, position trainings ) , just rasing value for bank
"not to bad for 8lvl" - absolutely not. That's just plain wrong.
He has talent of 5.40
With Talent chosen twice the range for normal YC8 players is 4.55-4.80.
Add on the minimum of 0.75 for a ST - and assuming you threw a 6 first go - then the absolute minimum range would be 5.30-5.55.
So to get 5.40 is almost the worst that you could get for a YC8.

I've now calculated the probability for a YC8 supertalent given my settings.
The chance of getting 5.40 or less is roughly 1/8 and getting better than 5.40 is 7/8.
in old system, he could be decent GK, and nice pick from 8 lvl YA .
mbe now game offers greater talents even for lower YA levels. im not informed
I've also looked at Joey's player who has Talent of 5.55 from a YC 10.
At first glance that seems worse than mine.
However, if Joey's settings have Talent selected twice then the range for a normal YC 10 player would be 4.85-5.00.
Add on the minimum of 0.75 for a ST - and assuming you threw a 6 first go - then the absolute minimum range for a YC10 supertalent with those settings would be 5.60-5.75.
This leads me to conclude that Joey probably doesn't have those settings.
I only have Talent selected once.

In which case the chance of you getting 5.55 given your settings is fairly similar to mine.
Still, both of them are pretty poor excuses for a Supertalent.
