I've noticed that some really strong teams sell players that they don't need to the bank. While for them the player might be too weak, for other less solid teams that player might be all the difference. I think that there should be a Free Agent Transfer Market to rescue those players, and you'd have to bid a higher salary for him to join your club. Possibly the Free Agent Transfer Market would have to be on Scout Office level 4 or 5 or something.

For one thing, if those players really were that useful for other teams they'd be able to sell them. Most teams only sell back to the bank if no-one will buy them. I've had to do that a few times :-(

There are far too many e.g. unwanted YC8s so selling them to the bank reduces the oversupply of them a little. Allowing them to be signed for free would reverse that.
