What factors determine the players wages?

I worry that this is a bug.This player value only 3.05 stars，but his weekly wage almost two times as the other same players.

Doesn't seem right to me. But it may be we just don't understand all the factors that affect the wage.

I have a similar forward, 1 year older, but with 3.55 stars. My player has got a Market value over 50% higher than your player, but his wage is only about 2 thirds of your wage.

Maybe depending on his market value? And because he scored 10 times on 8 matches?

That help article doesn't really explain the discrepancy in wages, except for the mention that transferred players wages can go up higher than 50%.

All the wages for my guys of similar or larger star values are heaps cheaper than yours (only one of them was from trading - he is of the same age & was transferred for a higher fee - but his wage is only 1/3 of yours), so I guess I'm just lucky.

I suppose your only option if you don't like the wage is to sell him next trade period & buy someone with a cheaper wage.

That's not what the help says. A player won't get a raise higher than 50% per year EXCEPT if he's transfered. This could be a reason for a big difference if this player was transfered and you're comparing him to players that played since the start in one team.

Also, age is important. Young players earn less

I had a player. I sell him twice amount of transfer price than the player in the first post. And now his weekly wage is only 1/3.
