When I compare the number of passes from my own team in a match with the number of pasases of my opponent, my number is significantly lower eventhough my team is better overall.
Although I have a good 'pass succces rate' the total number of passes in low in comparison to oher teams.
My midfielders have a decent passing and all right tactics I think.
I have been looking through several matches to chack if I can find a reason for this but Im lost for idea's.

Does anyone recognize this tituation and can someone offer advise/suggestions to work opn this 'problem'?

The weaker team do more short passes on their own half of the field. The stronger team makes more long and accurate passes towards the opponents goal, resulting in less passes.

I don't think you can hope to play like Barcelona in Rocking Soccer, if that's what you're going for = )
