I won national cup last season but did not qualify for the champions league this season

The National cup winner does not qualify for the Champions League, yes.
well it's interesting, because in Europe the cup winner qualify into the European League, but in South America there is no Continental League, only Champions League. So, cup winner maybe qualify into the CL either.
That's true. That should be changed, because then winning the cup is useless.
