A tough opponant but in the end the Imps were too strong. A brace from Junior Leach and a goal from Grini grabbed the three points in front of their fans with an assist from Sobrero and two assists from MOTM Preston Daugherty.

It did not all go well for the Imps as defensive midfielder Dube was sent off in the 90th minute for two yellow cards and the subsequent free kick being converted by Napoleón's star man Cuero meant that the Imps conceded their first goal of the season.

Game 7:

Lincoln Red Imps FC  2-0  Åspírē Ãçâdèmy

Dreams can come true, The Imps toppled the mighty Åspírē Ãçâdèmy in a very close encounter at the Victoria Stadium.

It was a great start form the home team with two goals in the first ten minutes both expertly executed by Junior Leach with assists from both Dube and Captain Preston Daugherty.

The whole team played to their potential and none more so then the well deserved MOTM Cveto Medved. An incredible display of goalkeeping keeping a magnifient clean sheet. The first goalkepper to do so against Åspírē Ãçâdèmy for 12 seasons.

Next up an away fixture against Girbraltar Town who have only managed to pick up a single point from their first six games. Hopefully the Imps can take their performance against the defending champions onto their next opponents.

All three of the midfielders managed to grab an assist with MOTM captain Preston Daugherty also grabbing a great goal. There was even a rare goal for defender Barend Becking scoring from a corner by Daugherty.

Game 10

AS Saint-Etienne  2-8  Lincoln Red Imps FC

A fantastic away result but at what cost, the Imps scored an impressive 8 goals but their man between the sticks was injured and will not be able to play in their next league game.

All three strikers were on the scoresheet with Junior Leach grabbing an amazing 4 goals, Substitute Froissart scored a brace and Grini another. Steven Whitlatch the Imps left back scored a cheeky goal to record his first of the season.

Again the Imps midfield were on fire with all three with an asisst, Dube created one with winger Sobrero adding two more to his tally. Captain Preston Daugherty had another incredible performance and notched up three assists earning hiom once again MOTM.

Former #1 keeper for The Imps was called upon to replace the injured Cveto Medved and put in a solid display, heres hoping he can put in a top performance in their next match.

Next up in the league is a very tough home fixture with MegaChampions, The Imps will be looking for another top midfield and striking display to help ease the pressure off their weakened defences.

Cup of Gibraltar season 52

Round 2

Gibraltar United  0 - 6  Lincoln Red Imps FC

The Imps first cup game of the season went ahead as planned as they cruised past Gibralter United six goals to the good,

Even with a tiny squad a few changes were made to rest some of the more mature members of the team.

It was still a strong looking team and both strikers were once again on hot form with onloan Grini scoring one and providing an asisst and Junior Leach completed a fabulous hattrick. Smrcka had a rare outing and his team-mates were delighted with his asisst.

It goes without saying that MOTM was Imps captain Preston Daugherty whose magical midfield display earned him three assists and a goal.

The Imps are now looking forward to see who they draw out of the hat in the next round.

Game 11

Lincoln Red Imps FC  3 - 3  MegaChampions

The Imps were unfortunate not to comer away with more from a fierce battle with rivals MegaChampions. It started so well for The Imps with Captain Preston Daugherty picking out Junior Leach who was able to score comfortably, but the game turned when Dube fouled Liceaga and the away team scored form their resulting freekick.

To add more misery for the home fans Steven Whitlatch scores an own goal. At halftime the home team were down 2-1. Even though The Imps pelted the away teams keeper with shots it was MegaChampions once again who scored next.

With just 18 minutes left it looked like the away keeper was having the game of his life saving everything that came his way. Sobrero and Grini teamed up down the rightwing and scored a fabulous goal, and just two minutes later the Imps Captain and once again MOTM scored the equaliser.

Megachampions managed to hold on for the last ten minutes as The Imps could not get any more past the impressive away keeper.

Things may have been very different if The Imps first choice keeper was available and it is rumoured in the next transfer window that they will look to bring in a new number two.

Next up is a full first XI against bottom of the table Gibraltar #132, where the Imos will be looking to get their goal difference even higher.
