Short gets half a ball speed bonus, which is worth 0.05 Blocking. I would say that was a benefit even though they have less chance of winning the ball at set pieces.

I wouldn't choose keeper for that reason alone, but in my view it's still a small bonus.

I had a short keeper in the Nicaragua NT and I never noticed short being a problem. I think the speed bonus he got from it made up for anything else.

Keepers rarely win the ball at set pieces anyway, so I don't think Short would make that much difference.

I would be more concerned about having Short defenders.
