Keeper was man of the match too. A fantastic effort Stephen and if you had scored first then I think you might have won. Onwards!

League? Tick

Cup? Tick

There are no other competitions that matter, right...?

Looks like Alex forgot to set a formation for the Cup final so it was a bit of a lopsided affair.

Next season the rebuilding job begins at the Beach!

Congratulations for this domination in the English championship and in Europe.. As you have won everything (1), it's time to rebuild for a new cycle (1) Except the European Cup that you will have soon

Goodbye season 67, you were with us all too briefly. It marked the mighty Beach's 20th consecutive league title and possibly England failing to qualify for the World Cup. Stephen our, Southgate in? A must-win game in 15 mins or so determines this destiny. It's against Greece so I just need to find the team's Beckham and we'll be alright.

EDIT: 2-0 and through to the next stage. Must have been the lucky waistcoat I bought.

Well, a fairly predictable season...

Seaburn won league and cup with the usual suspects in 2nd to 5th (in a slightly different order).

The problem is all of us in 2nd to 5th are good enough to beat each other (so we all lose points to each other) but none of us are good enough to beat Seaburn, so we end up with a 16 point gap at the top again.

A solution must be found!

Having analysed the problem, I've decided the solution is we just have to get better!

Can't bring myself to go the 'superstar' route - having a single really high rated GK, Mid and Forward and the rest solidly good which seems to be the way to go. My team is pretty consistent, just not good enough!

A visibly emotional Stephen paid tribute to departing midfielder Leo Tabuyo as he ended his Seaburn Beach career in a transfer to the Dutch Eredivisie.

"Leo gave his all every time he put on the Beach jersey," he blubbed. "But especially in the Cups, he was sensational. He gave us the greatest day in the club's long history when he helped us win it in 66. It's a shame we couldn't pull it off for him again this time out, but what a ride it's been.

"He's made countless assists - yes, technically you can count them and very easily too in the Hall of Fame before anyone starts - and scored some extremely valuable goals in his 600-plus appearances. We'll not see his like, or his wages, again.

"And to assure the club's fans that this isn't a short term transfer made entirely for financial reasons, I'd like to point out that we still have... Hoskins? We only have Hoskins? For the love of god, please tell me he's not all that's left."

Barring a total meltdown and getting 2 or 3 players sent off (don't have the greatest disciplinary record) I should be safe for another season...

Aim for next season is maybe increase training facilities and stay out of the bottom 3!!
