Season 77 (43)

Congrats Stephen for the Cups!

Unfortunately I am still condemned to the playouts. I hope to maintain the category because I have to find 3 loans in 3 days like I did last season to have any chance. At least the balance is ok now :)

The battle for 6th and that European spot is intense. 4 teams on 67 points with 3 to go. No room for slip ups. Have a feeling I will miss out this time though.

Some big matches in that run in:

Cardiff currently occupying that 6th spot have:
Birmingham Hunter (A)
Invincibles City (H)
Bolt On Wonderbras (H)

Oxford in 7th and Scammonden in 9th have probably the toughest run in:

Oxford:
Fuchsia FC (H)
Scammonden Daoists (A)
Newcastle (H)

Scammonden:
Vooremaa Wolves (A)
Oxford (H)
Seaburn Beach (A)

The Wonderbras:
Heavens Light (A)
Birmingham Hunter (H)
Cardiff City (A)

My prediction would be that Cardiff will nip it. That last day game against Wonderbras could be the key fixture, but with most of my best players sitting on two yellows, I'm not hopeful I'm going to avoid suspensions going into it.

To say the Abbot is unhappy is an understatement. Some terrible results this season, injuries to key players and a lack of goals is costing us dear. We'll get what we deserve and that's £30million+ a year less income for not qualifying for the Europa League.

Expect a quantity of new signings in the transfer window. Not sure about the quality coming in but we simply have to be more competitive than this if we are to keep turning up.

Congrats to Stephen on another trophy haul. Master tactician and manager.

England are also back up to third in the league ranking.

Good luck in the run in. I predict a Seaburn title and Cardiff to nick the last spot.

From my lowly position I can't see which teams are at the top, so I appreciate the recent updates!

Congratulations to Seaburn, and good luck to all the teams currently in the European hunt - I'm hopeful of avoiding the playoffs, and staying on this merry-go-round for another season.

EDIT: I've just started building my level 2 football academy, so the transfer window will be a quiet one for me.

A large delivery truck turned up outside the Daoists' training centre today. Inside were a lot of wheelbarrows stuffed full of used banknotes. It was not immediately clear where this money had come from or why it had been delivered.

When unloading the cargo, someone noticed the 31st wheelbarrow was full of sand and topped with a note saying 'Your time will come. But don't screw up our time.'

Title 31 is sealed without anyone in yellow kicking a ball.

Well, tonight's match gets to be a party and the ten men behind the ball, don't go past the halfway line approach we've been working all week in training has been binned. Now, it's seven up front, nutmegs, back heels and flicks, and if anyone even thinks about tracking back they're getting sold in the next window.

Sounds like minimise defeat for me then.

Congratulations on another title Stephen. Well deserved.

In other news: 31 wheelbarrows for sale, varying condition. All offers considered, please apply to The Abbot at The Monastery in Scammonden.

Congrats on another title. Is there no end to this dominance? Well done.

We'll take the wheelbarrows - and would also like to make the Abbot an offer for the 'sand'.

Thanks lads. I think there'll be a new champion next season as the Beach makes some squad readjustments.

If there were some bargains to be had, maybe I could plough some of this back into the playing staff. But the transfer market seems extra hot just now with a lot of huge bids flying around!
