Well, even though he's Fragile, that never seemed like a big deal for my players. But his Endurance is non-existent so you cannot complain when he's fatigued during the match which can then, more times than not, result in an injury.

He didn't even complete 4 games for me this season.

Once the endurance gets below 2, injuries become more likely in non-friendly matches. Combine with Fragile makes it even more common. I think you've been unlucky but I have not used a fragile player in my first team in a very long time.
