tuesday july 17 - 12:40 Ah, I forgot about the Sweden game. Yes that was an OK result I suppose.
As for Panama, 2 pens against clumsy defenders, two goals that had offside players who were "not interfering with play", one lucky deflection and one good goal. I know that in the current interpretation of the laws rely on a player actually receiving the ball before they are adjudged offside, but I am with Brian Clough - if a player is not interfering with play he shouldn't be on the pitch. One lucky deflection and one great goal.
I am not saying that it was a bad result against Panama though, just that England did their job against a poor side.
I cannot comment on the goals in the final as I didn't watch it. It was on Monday morning at 1:00am - 3:00am and I did not want to take the day off work to watch those two teams play. I would have watched it if England was in it, but I didn't really care who won between France and Croatia.
