A shame to hear about Barcelona FM/Melbourne Victory's struggles; would be a blow if it causes Aus coefficient to drop and continental places to disappear.

I shall do my best to keep the coefficient high enough until you and Paul make it to the big time. It seems like Melbourne have managed to give themselves a bit of breathing space, but it is going to be a struggle for them to maintain their position now that they are having to rely on selling their best young players. Without the $75m coming in from having $1bn in the bank they are going to struggle paying the maintenace bill of the YA5. 

I'd say it is probably too late for Barcelona already. They have sold a lot of decent players to the bank and their finances are still listed as "Disastrous".

As far as I can tell there are 4 different descriptions of a club's finances. 

Most clubs are listed as Wealthy, but the options are:

• Wealthy
• Rich
• Poor 
• Disastrous

Somewhat surprisingly 'Rich' means less than 'Wealthy'.

Would be interesting to know what amounts the ranges cover.

That's probably what it means @Holt, but I don't think anyone knows for sure.

If you look around long enough it's not too difficult to find a few clubs that are 'disastrous'.

@Capernicus. If you go to a team's page, click on one of their players and then on transfer enquiry on the right hand menu, on the page where you can make a bid it gives you the team's financial status.
