Hm interesting. And here I am as an arsenal supporter moaning about the fact Arsenal didnt even attempt to go for vvd while they might need a centerback more than liverpool. Yes they overpaid. But what else is available? Doubt there is quality like vvd available in the jan window. Let southampton rebuild, who cares. Its all about top4 now and I think vvd will be a huge help in that. Might even end up in second place.

It's a huge price tag - I just hope he can live up to it. For that money we could have bought 2 experienced defenders, rather than putting all our eggs in 1 basket.
