Now this is the disadvantage of having a defender with a POACHER ( +0.25 ball scoring when player is in penalty area ) attribute.

Unfortunately he scored an own goal today.
Love it ! How many other poacher defenders are scoring own goals ???
I bet he had egg on his face.

The other defenders scrambled to stop the goal though.

Everything is logic: he scored as his skills wanted it. Flank defenders never reach to opposite box maybe only sweeper may do it. So he did what instruction say in only available area.
Never checked whether another legend's players do it too (ok they don't have poacher but lot of scoring. This season visible are these two:

A word in your shell like ... to be clear and avoid anyone being misled.
Neither 'poacher' nor 'scoring' have any affect on the scoring of own goals.
Correct. Own goals are not caused by either of these things.
As we all know it is caused by eggs.
