@Dragontao

IMO there was none of the penalties.

These are two too many mistakes.

It was not a penalty (and neither was the previous shout that was not given when Kane kicked the defender and threw himself on the ground) however, England were the better team and deserved the win.

In the utlimate historic revenge, England have beat the Germans, beat the Vikings and now there is just the Romans to go.

It's going home.

I definitely feel the Danes were hard done by with the penalty decision......but if it happens against the Italians I'll laugh and laugh and laugh...

How many dodgy decisions have gone against us in the past?
Anybody remember a certain Argentinian midget playing volleyball?

We get one call on ourside in 55 years. I'll take it. I'm not waiting another 55.

I've worked out the pattern:

Switzerland knocked out France on pens

Spain knocked out Switzerland on pens

Italy knocked out Spain on pens

England should therefore beat Italy on pens.

@Davo if it worked like that then we'd have had England win the 1998 world cup after:

1966 England

1970 Brazil

1974 West Germany

1978 Argentina

1982 Italy

1986 Argentina

1990 West Germany

1994 Brazil

But it ended up going the wrong side of the Channel.

My favourite stat is that the team that scores the most goals wins 100% of the time (barring own goals of course, as Denmark proved).

@Mavi. Maradonna - very good footballer, also a cheat and a coke addict. Cheating in the '86 world cup, followed by being sent home from the '94 World Cup after failing a drugs test. Sentenced to 2 years 10 months in prison for shooting at journalists outside of his home.

Lucky he wasn't banned for more of his career as his substance abuse was traced back to 1982.

He's not fit to lace Pele's boots.

And that was going easy on him.

You left out kicking/kneeing an opponent in the face, the links with the Italian mafia, numerous affairs, the many ladies of very dubious reputation and almost every other form of vice.  And the lies he told when trying to cover up his many indiscretions.

He had everything. Prodigious talent, fame, fortune and hero-worship. Many fans treated him like a god - and then he started to act as if he thought he was one.

Amazing footballer but forever tarnished by the depths of his depravity.
