I would go with Angel's suggestion of +0.05 for not rolling a 6. This is far more likely given the outcomes that we see.

- All supertalents are generated in the same way.
A supertalent is generated like this:
1. create a normal player
2. add 0.75 ball talent
3. for each of the skills (speed, power, endurance and talent) keep throwing a dice and add 0.05 ball until a 6 is thrown.
The scout settings are only used for the first step, not for the supertalent bonus.
Going back to Gandalf's player.
Assuming talent was chosen as 'important' twice then the talent range for YC 6 would be 3.90-4.20. The probability of getting a ST with 6.80 talent (or better) would be slightly less than 1 in a 1000.
